Privacy policy

SendSignal provides email sending infrastructure: an API, an SMTP relay, a console, and public deliverability tools. This policy explains what we collect when you use those services, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

Data you give us

• Account data: your email address, name, and authentication details when you create an account.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we never store card numbers ourselves.
• Messages you send us directly, such as the contact form or email to hello@sendsignal.dev.

Data we process on your behalf

When you send email through SendSignal, we process the content and recipient addresses of those messages as your service provider, on your instructions. That includes message bodies, templates, contact lists, delivery events (delivered, bounced, opened, clicked), and suppression lists. You are the controller of this data; we process it to deliver your mail, show it to you in the console, and keep your sending healthy (for example, checking every send against your suppression list).

Data collected automatically

• API and console logs: request metadata, IP addresses, and user-agent strings, used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.
• Deliverability tool queries (tools.sendsignal.dev): the domain or IP you look up and standard request logs. The tools work without an account.

The marketing site does not use advertising trackers.

Infrastructure and subprocessors

Delivery runs on Amazon Web Services, including Amazon SES for email transmission. Our website runs on Cloudflare. These providers process data only as needed to run the service.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted on request when you close it. Message content and delivery events are kept for the operational window shown in your console, then removed. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data at any time. Write to hello@sendsignal.dev and we will act on the request. If your recipients contact us about mail you sent, we will refer them to you as the sender responsible for that data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note it in the changelog and update the date above.
